Bar & Bat Mitzvah Photographer | Orlando,Florida | Professional Family portraits

Your son or daughter´s Bar or Bat Mitzvah is another one of those special occasions in life that need professional photography services. Artisan Photographics has photographed these events for over 20 years.

We create posed portraits at the synagogue and capture candid moments through the birthday celebration.  As a company we are very familiar with Jewish traditions and rituals, making sure all significant moments are captured for you, from the Motzi to the candle lighting ceremony, to the exciting Hora dance!

We treat these very important days in the life of your child with the care and respect it deserves; after all, it is a right of passage for a young man or woman entering into adulthood. This is a once in a lifetime event for your child.

Mitzvah tips

1) Plan any new style ahead of time

Whether your event will be formal or casual, your Bat / Bar Mitzvah child may decide to try out a new look for the occasion. This is her time in the spotlight, and they may want to use it to highlight their independence. This new look could mean a dramatic haircut, a switch from glasses to contacts, or any appearance changes that are different. Our recommendation is that you try the style modification a couple of weeks prior to the Bat/Bar Mitzvah itself. This way, your teen has time to get accustomed to her updated appearance.

2) Arrive early

When we photograph, we always arrive a bit early to set up, and get a sense of the room conditions for the day. Unexpected delays such as traffic or unplanned activity might change the schedule. A few minutes will help. The same goes for your extended family, if they are to be included in family portraits at a set time. It is a good idea to give them an arrival time 30 minutes or so before you actually need them

3) Wear complementary colors

When everyone is color coordinated and looking their best, family photos of the small family the photos are amazing. One way to complement each other visually is by color selection. An accessory such as a tie or handkerchief that brings out the hues of the clothing is a nice touch, and shows well in photos. The color pairings can be very subtle. The most important thing is that everyone feel like their best selves.

4) Make the most of your photography time

The Bat Mitzvah celebration will be full of excitement and distraction. Most of the time, we will be photographing on the go, moving around, and capturing the activity as it happens. There will be times where we want to ask you for a photo, or make sure that we sit down for family photos according to the timeline. You will be very happy after the fact that you have the photos to remember the occasion, so take the time to let us photograph you.

5) Enjoy yourself

Once the Bat/Bar Mitzvah event is actually here, the best thing you can do is have a enjoy it. All the big decisions have been made! Now, it’s time to relax. If you are happy and low stress, your pictures will show it.  When you are having fun everyone is in a great mood and enjoying the festive occasion. That is what is about. Family and close friends celebrating your child’s Mitzvah.

A Quinceanera

When photographing a quinceanera Artisan Photographics takes an ‘all phases’ of the event approach much like we would any other life event.  There is time allocated for formal photographs as well as time for the actual celebration. It is worth mentioning that many quinces have a religious element depending on the family’s traditions.

Is the 15th birthday of Latin or Hispanic young ladies.  It is considered a ‘coming of age’ event for these cultures and is planned for and highly celebrated by friends and families of the young woman.

There are wonderful and fascinating elements to a quince some of the included customs and activities are: The Court of Honor (this represents the young ladies and her closest friends both male and female) engaging in a waltz, The Changing of the Shoes, The Toast and finally The Last Doll.

Quinceanera photography done by Artisan Photographics includes representative countries such as: Bolivia, Argentina, Chile, Columbia, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala,  Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Puerto Rico, Spain, Uruguay, Venezuela.
