One of the most beautiful and unique features of a military wedding is the arch of swords or cutlass depending on the rank of the bride or groom. This tradition which occurs in all branches of service remains a beloved feature of a military wedding. If the bride herself is not a member of the armed forces as she exits the arch, she can expect a tap on her rear end, it’s a signal that she is being welcomed into the military fold.
If you are not a service member or even if you check all protocols and regulations for this type of wedding, protocols can and do change from time to time.
Make sure your officiant is familiar with military protocols.
Finally, make sure insurance is not a mandatory requirement for vendors working at certain bases, some of your vendors may not be aware and may need time to get the proper coverage.
